Coaxial library


FEST3D has a complete coaxial library in order to analyse and design coxial cavity filters, couplers and so on. The library is based on the 3D BI-RME method which allows for a great efficiency and accuracy. FEST3D allows you to perform multipactor and corona analysis on all the coaxial excitation elements.

The library is divided into elements belonging to our standard basic package and a set of advanced coaxial excitations which form the core of the library and which have to be acquired separately.

Basic elements


In the basic package, FEST3D includes two basic coaxial excitations in a rectangular cavity. It also includes the possibility to create a rectangular cavity with tuning screws

Element "Straight probe" Just a simple coaxial excitation. It can be combined with any number of posts (resonant and/or tuning) of different shapes (solid, hollow, mushroom shape, etc...)

Element "Mushroom probe" An excitation with mushroon shape. It can be combined with any number of posts (resonant and/or tuning) of different shapes (solid, hollow, mushroom shape, etc...)

Element "Coaxial feed (contact)" A coaxial excitation contacting the resonant post. The contacted post must be solid. It can be combined with any number of posts (resonant and/or tuning) of different shapes (solid, hollow, mushroom shape, etc...)

Advanced elements


The set of advanced coaxial excitations allows for analysing more complex elements and includes the possibility to use rounded corners in the cavities. It can be combined with any number of posts (resonant and/or tuning) of different shapes (solid, hollow, mushroom shape, etc...)



      

Extended contact feed


- The resonant post can be solid, hollow or mushroom shape.

- Cavity can have rounded corners.


      

S-shape coaxial feed (contact)


- The resonant post can be solid, hollow or mushroom shape.

- Cavity can have rounded corners.


      

Loop feed


- Any number of posts (and any shape) can be inserted in the cavity.

- Cavity can have rounded corners.


      

Magnetic feed


- Any number of posts (and any shape) can be inserted in the cavity.

- Cavity can have rounded corners.


      

Top contact feed


- The contacted post has to be solid.

- Any number of posts (and any shape) can be inserted in the cavity.

- Cavity can have rounded corners.
